Don Joy was born in Illinois,  spending the majority of his youth on a small farm surrounded by corn fields in the northern part of the state. Traveling between Illinois and Missouri to his grandparents in Springfield,  MO.

As a youngster he would spin 78 records on his grandmothers crank victrola of the early country stars such as Hank Williams, Marty Robbins, Ray Price,Lefty and others. As he grew older began singing around age 10 and imulating Elvis also an idol. As he grew older Don began singing in varous honky tonks clubs and bars. A life time of music that has taken him to places like Las Vegas MGM for USA  World Show Case, Ellis Island Casino, Marina Towers,  Country Jubilee in Ohio and various Opry shows in Mo. he started singing around age 16 and continues today.

Don's lastest Cd with a song titled " What Have I Done",  has won three song writing contests. The Album was cut in Nashville at Sound Contro Studios and is a compliation of love songs and ballad sof traditional country.

Don Joy is currently working on a new albun to be out by fall on an independant record label again of tradional country sound staying true to his roots and maintaining a style of his own.
